Welcome to Underheard.org, bringing you the best of independent and community radio. We are your source for over 120 hours of high quality podcasts and downloads every week, showcasing the best noncommercial radio shows from more than twenty stations worldwide. Try noncommercial radio — your ears are worth it.
Underheard.org is an audio on demand service. Unlike webcasts, you're in control. You choose which show you want to listen to, when you want to listen to it. You can stream the shows on demand, download them to a portable MP3 player, or subscribe to our automatic podcast feeds.
We focus mostly on music, new and old, that you probably aren't listening to already. Most of these tunes haven't been played on commercial radio stations since the big corporations took over the FM dial. Unless you're lucky enough to live somewhere with good community stations, you'll probably never hear some of this stuff anywhere else.
